WE’RENOTREALLYHERE

Our trainer John Quinn and his son Sean went to the Tattersalls sales on our behalf with instructions to buy a yearling to run early next year. They managed to secure a yearling colt by leading sprint sire CAMACHO who was a top class black type performer for Henry Cecil before retiring to stud in 2008. His career at stud has been even more successful than his racing career, he has been a sire of many top class performers. He has gained a reputation for producing speedy two year olds and we are convinced that WE’RENOTREALLYHERE can enhance that reputation when he starts running early in the 2022 flat season.

The dam is broodmare ROCKING THE BOAT who herself was a two year old winner for trainer Charlie Hills. She has had three previous foals, all 3 have been winners winning a total of 8 races between them.

BREEDING - PART 1

THE SIRE

As highlighted on the home page CAMACHO, the sire, has had a successful stud career so far. One of his best progeny was SIGNORA CABELLO who was trained by our trainer John Quinn to win the Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot in 2018. CAMACHO is described by the the Racing Post as follows :- ‘useful 3yo sprinter, from good family; good source of 2yo winners’

About the sire (Father)……

CAMACHO

Leading sprint sire CAMACHO is the sire (father) of WE’RENOTREALLYHERE. Camacho was a black type winner for Henry Cecil and Khalid Abdulla. He has had an impressive career at stud to date and has already had over 130 two year old winners since his first crop in 2008. He is a son of the great DANEHILL and he resides at Yeomanstown Stud in Naas, Co Kildare. The video to the right shows you some of the highlights.

BREEDING - PART 2

THE GRANDSIRE

CAMACHO’s father is the great DANEHILL who was also a Royal Ascot winner but his reputation was made as one of the greatest sires of the 20th century. He produced great horses such as Dylan Thomas, Rock of Gibraltar, George Washington, Holy Roman Emperor and Derby winner North Light.
